Spicy Hot Smoked Salmon Ramen

A quick and flavour-packed salmon recipe with a spicy twist. This ramen combines warming noodles with Aoraki Pōhutukawa Hot Smoked Salmon for an easy and satisfying meal ready in just 20 minutes.

Ingredients

2 packs spicy instant ramen noodles (or your favourite flavour)

1 x pack Aoraki Pōhutukawa Hot Smoked Salmon, flaked into large pieces

2 eggs

2 cups shredded cabbage

2 tsp chilli oil, to serve

Sesame seeds, to serve (optional)

Method

Step 1

Bring a small saucepan of water to the boil. Gently lower in the eggs and cook for 6½–7 minutes for soft, creamy yolk (or 9 minutes for hard-boiled). Transfer to iced water, peel and halve.

Step 2

Prepare the instant ramen according to the packet instructions. If you prefer a milder bowl, simply swap the spicy ramen for your favourite instant noodle flavour.

Step 3

Divide the cooked noodles and broth between two bowls. Top each bowl with shredded cabbage, flaked Aoraki Pōhutukawa Hot Smoked Salmon and the halved boiled eggs.

Step 4

Drizzle with chilli oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired. Serve immediately while the noodles are hot.
